ROLE
You will be working from Office in India, collaborating and socialising with your colleagues across our two UK and Bulgaria Offices.
Occasionally, we would need your help outside of normal office hours (you might be required to work on the weekend or to be on-call at times).
The primary focus for you will be the design and delivery of enterprise-level data solutions from the earliest discovery phases of projects through prototyping, architectural design and delivery.

You will be working with Azure tools such as Databricks, Data Factory as well as Hadoop to create big data environments which, in turn, will help businesses to gain greater insight into their big data repositories.

As a Principal Data Engineer expect to be:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working on projects that utilize products within the Microsoft Azure and SQL Data Analytics stack.
• Satisfying the expectations and requirements of customers, both internal and external
• Supporting others in their development.
• Contributing to Telefonica Tech and the external community.

REQUIREMENTS

• Some industry experience or exposure in delivering Microsoft Azure or SQL Data Analytics solutions, with a good grounding in all associated areas.
• Hands on experience on MS Azure Services with Developing, Deploying and configuring Azure Web Apps, Azure App Services using Visual Studio, experience in cloud migration and integration.
• Experience in building solutions using Event Hub, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Azure Files, Table Storage.
• Proven written and spoken English.
• Ability and attitude towards investigating and sharing new technologies.
• Ability to identify opportunities and issues.
• Willingness to learn based on feedback.
• Strategic and operational decision-making skills.
• Expertise in creating complex SQL queries.
• Experience in using Microsoft BI Stack (SSRS, SSIS, or SSAS)
• Commercial experience of Power BI for data visualization.
• Graduated with 8 plus years of experience in data engineering role. (MSBI OR Azure)
• Microsoft certified (nice to have).
