Principal Data Analyst
About this Role:
As a Principal Analyst, you will deeply understand the Kaseya transaction model and drive forensic analytics to understand drivers that affect our ARR, architect and develop reporting on why and how our ARR changes over time, and become the subject matter expert on operational dynamics that affect our ARR such as renewals, anomalies, and pipeline. This is a high impact role that will help shape the future of analytics at Kaseya.
What you will do:
- Develop and continuously enhance frameworks for investigation into ARR for daily reporting and analysis
- Build reporting against such frameworks
- Develop logic that helps us understand how renewals processing velocity affects our ARR movements
- Anomaly detection on opportunities that affect our ARR positively and negatively
- Design and execute on new frameworks for incremental ARR measurement. Develop requirements and partner with Data Engineering to materialize them through the medallion architecture
- Produce ongoing commentary on performance against our operating plans
- Support monthly board reporting
- Independently develop ETLs, build dashboards, new metrics, and analytical frameworks
- Partner on new Data Science models and AI products
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Math, Economics, Operational Research, or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in Analytics/Data Science, or equivalent
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel
- Track record of developing thoughtful, actionable dashboards for executive audiences
- Ability to organize ambiguity and clearly communicate the “so-what”
- Clear ownership of COO facing daily reporting and investigations
- Comfort working with financial data and messy sales data
- Builder and scaler mindset
- Desire to influence strategy using thoughtful data analysis, investigations, and science
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in above fields
- 12+ years of experience in Analytics and Data Science
- 1+ years of experience with AI tools and prompt engineering
- SQL and dashboarding ninja
- Extreme ownership and high comfort with ambiguity and change
- Experience developing ML models from scratch
