Overview: The Principal Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing marketing content that aligns with Inovalon’s overall strategic plan, audience needs, and corporate messaging. This role will leverage their healthcare and marketing experience together with a strong partnership and collaboration orientation to develop results-oriented marketing communications in alignment with Inovalon’s brand standards. The Principal Content Marketing Specialist drives innovation, strategy, and forward-thinking design through consultation and collaboration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize and produce content to support and drive results for Inovalon Marketing campaigns, working closely with the lead generation and product marketing teams.
• Research, develop, and write marketing materials for customer and public facing print and web communications.
• Work cross-functionally to develop content relevant to the specific markets, segments, and personas to engage prospects and customers to conversion.
• Support ongoing content optimizations across channels and tactics, including but not limited to – emails, website copy, paid and organic search, landing pages, ads, and social media.
• Manage regular updates to product-specific stats, according to assigned product area of focus.
• Monitor and analyze content performance based on goals and metrics for lead generation programs. This includes working across the Marketing team to understand and act based on analytics from in-house and third-party data platforms. Develop recommendations based on these performance metrics.
• Manage and interact with supporting freelance partners, providing clear direction to ensure they deliver high-quality copywriting, editing and review of content deliverables.
• Support strategic content efforts such as rebranding, changes in company messaging, materials for annual user conference, new content initiatives, and other key projects as assigned.
• Edit and proofread marketing communications materials and content as assigned.
• Stay current with social media, email marketing, SEO & PPC, and content writing best practices, standards, and trends.
• Employ strong project management skills including the ability to independently manage multiple projects, meet deliverable dates as well as prioritize and organize effectively.
• Other duties as requested.
• Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures, and mission statement.
• Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position.
• Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving the operational and financial success of the Employer.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 8+ years of marketing experience with a focus on writing in several mediums such as interactive, print and webinar.
• Effective and clear written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills and ability to multi-task with close attention to detail.
• Experience writing press releases, newsletters, sell sheets, web content, etc.
• Knowledge of writing for SEO best practices is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and planning skills with great attention to detail.
• Industry knowledge of healthcare administrative or clinical transactions/workflows is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
• Able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage work on simultaneous projects.
• Superior teamwork and excellent time management skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure & meet deadlines.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree with a major in Marketing, Communications or Journalism, MBA a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Sedentary work ( i.e. sitting for long periods of time).
• Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions.
• Subject to inside environmental conditions.
• Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.

In addition to the base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range
$90,600—$99,500 USD
