Principal Consultant:

As a Principal Consultant at Aldridge, you'll play a crucial role in our success by leading and nurturing our client advisory relationships. You will drive technical alignment, mitigate risks, ensure long-term value for our clients, and contribute to a culture of Client Success at Aldridge.
Position Overview:
As a Principal Consultant, you’ll take ownership of fostering strong, successful relationships between Aldridge and our clients. By deeply understanding each client’s business, you'll provide strategic technical guidance and alignment, driving retention and growth. Your efforts will demonstrate Aldridge's enduring value through the effective operation of IT.
The ideal candidate will leverage their infrastructure expertise to recommend ways to maximize value from clients’ IT assets, address technical deficiencies that pose business risks, align clients with a solid security posture, and support clients in planning and budgeting for their future IT investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, gaining a deep understanding of their business and aligning technology strategies to meet their objectives.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients, analyzing performance metrics, and identifying and implementing areas for improvement and alignment.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, ensuring a strong and ongoing relationship.
- Serve as a strategic IT advisor, creating and updating 18–36-month technology plans and budgets tailored to each client's needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including solutions architects, support, and professional services, to develop and implement solutions that address client challenges.
- Work closely with the business operations team to develop proposals for projects and services that support clients' IT strategies.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT and security, sharing relevant insights with clients.
- Keep the pipeline and forecasts for future client investments accurate and up-to-date.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a technology consulting role or similar environment, working with and presenting to business owners or executive leaders
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on technical experience, ideally within an MSP environment
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and networking concepts
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to accurately report and present complex information under tight deadlines
- Outstanding customer service skills, with the ability to build lasting rapport and communicate effectively with clients in high-pressure situations
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a knack for navigating challenging situations and finding mutually beneficial solutions
- High energy and enthusiasm, inspiring clients to align their technology for long-term success
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
Hybrid work schedule:
- Optional work from home days are Mondays and Fridays
- Required in-office days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
- Travel will be required up to 25% within territory
Additional Requirements:
- Physical ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods
- Must be comfortable with periodically lifting 25 pounds
