Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories, use cases, workflows, and data/process models.
- Support adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, automation and predictive maintenance systems.
- Analyze current workflows and recommend optimizations.
- Work closely with developers, QA testers, and UX/UI teams to ensure the solution meets both business and technical needs.
- Conduct gap analysis, impact analysis, and root cause analysis for system enhancements or problem resolution.
- Assist in defining project scope and objectives, aligning with business strategy and IT architecture.
- Facilitate requirement review sessions, sprint planning and backlog grooming in Agile environments.
- Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), and other relevant artifacts.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by defining test cases, coordinating testing efforts, and validating outcomes with business users.
- Monitor system implementation and support post-production issues through resolution.
- Stay current on new IT trends and recommend improvements in system processes and tools.
- Develop training materials and support user training.
Must Have Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in writing clear and concise documentation.
- Skilled in business process modelling and data flow diagrams.
- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Good to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with system integration, legacy modernization or enterprise applications (e.g., MES, ERP, CRM, custom platforms).
- Enterprise scale project experience.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/ Operations Management, Business Administration (MBA preferred).
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems (MES). Knowledge of US manufacturing trends (reshoring, smart factories).
- 5+ years consulting or operational experience in a manufacturing environment, 12 years+ of total BA experience
- Client-facing experience in the US market is a strong plus.
This is an onsite role in San Marcos, Texas.
