Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Principal Configuration Analyst at its Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. This role is for a position within our CAD team. The responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and preparing engineering drawings to ensure customer requirements are met. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, a drive to lead from where you are, collaborative people skills, and the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily.
Your responsibilities will include:Preparing engineering drawings for our internal team or to be delivered to customers
Review and analyze engineer change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, and manufacturing
Ability to provide expertise on engineering drawings and technical data packages (TDPs)
Frequent communication with engineering team is needed, therefore excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role
Basic Qualifications for Principal Configuration Analyst:
9 years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree; 7 years with an associate’s degree in a STEM field; 5 years with B.S degree; 3 years with master’s degree
Extensive experience creating engineering drawings in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX or similar CAD software.
Knowledge of DoD engineering drawing/TDP requirements and associated ASME standards
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Must currently hold or be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance
Current US DoD Secret level clearance or higher
Extensive experience in creating TDPs or engineering drawings to meet DoD requirements
Configuration management knowledge/experience
Able to understand and interpret DoD drawing/TDP requirements
Skills Required
