Position Title: Principal, Business Continuity Management (BCM)
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in business continuity, risk mitigation, and crisis response, and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Taiwan and Coupang’s global operations, including our Global Security team in Korea.
What you will do
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the BCM program in Taiwan.
Partner with business units to assess operational or external environmental changes and their impact on business continuity
Manage and report on annual BCM activities, including:
Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
Risk Assessment (RA)
Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
Design and facilitate BCM exercises and simulations; validate outcomes and drive improvements.
Track and report BCM exercises efforts and ensure alignment with business objectives
Analyze potential threats and scenarios to assess operational, reputational, and financial impacts.
Maintain and update BCM policies, procedures, and frameworks in alignment with ISO 22301 and other global standards.
Deliver BCM training and awareness programs to enhance organizational preparedness.
Monitor BCM program performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Support BCM platforms and tools; ensure data accuracy and usability.
Provide leadership in BCM governance, audits, and stakeholder reporting.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Security, Risk Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
8+ years of experience in business continuity, resilience, crisis/risk management, emergency management, or related domains.
Proven experience in developing and managing enterprise-level BCM frameworks, including training programs and BCM exercises.
Strong understanding of international standards such as ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, and DORA.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in Taiwan and global markets.
Experience in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
Intermediate level written and spoken English.
Preferred Certifications
ISO 22301 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor
CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional)
CBCI (Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute)
ABCP, CFCP, or equivalent BCM certifications
