Why This Role Is Important To Us

SimCorp is recruiting a Principal Business Consultant to implement SimCorp One at asset managers, fund managers, banks and pension plans across the US and Canada. Our consulting teams work with both client technology teams and their business lines, to configure SimCorp One and to evolve and shape underlying business processes to fit the application.  

The consultant will be responsible for all aspects of the implementation process, with primary focus on the Operations functionalities. At this time, we are specifically looking for a candidate who has experience with alternative investments. 

Besides alternative investments, consulting teams will be exposed to a spectrum of financial instruments, equity and fixed income as well as complex OTC derivatives. 

What You Will Be Responsible For

Our platform, SimCorp One, is one of the world's leading investment management solutions used globally by international financial institutions and equity funds.

Project Delivery 

  • Lead our implementation projects throughout the project life-cycle including gathering and understanding client requirements, configuration, documentation, and presentation of solutions

  • Lead presentations to clients and prepare project artifacts such as project scope and solution documents 

  • Build network with internal and external stakeholders  

Standardization 

  • Gain understanding of Simcorp’s Global Standard Solutions and utilize them for project delivery 

  • Support maintenance of Global Standard Solutions and make contributions to its improvements and refinements 

Knowledge Management 

  • Lead knowledge sharing within the organization 

  • Participate in improving project best practice based on the global delivery model

What We Value

As our preferred candidate you have:

  • Experience in the following fields: Asset Management, Mid-Back Office, Financial Reporting, Consulting, Professional Services or Software Implementation within the Asset Management sector.

  • Asset Management candidates should have 10+ years of experience working with the operations functions for investments and the enterprise applications that enable them 

  • Consultants should have experience with enterprise implementations involving operations functions on the buy side, and experience with applications similar to Simcorp One

  • Working experience with alternative investments (CAIA Certification is considered an asset)

  • Understanding of investment process, analytics, and related accounting for alternative investments 

  • Experience with SimCorp One is an asset

  • Ability to travel to client’s site as needed

  • Can attend the SimCorp office 2x/week as per our hybrid policy 

Effective performance in this job requires comfort with rapid development and the aptitude to promptly address demands. You have great interpersonal skills and can interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior management.

For Toronto only: The salary range for this position is $150,000 - 187,000 CAD. Base pay may vary based on factors such as years of experience, skills and qualifications. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits including health and dental care, time off and Group RRSP/TFSA.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $179,000 - 224,000 USD. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave, and retirement plans. Your total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.
