OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:
- Senior Business Analyst works independently on tasks with up to high complexity. Inputs for work are given mainly directly by other stakeholders. This role works independently on assigned tasks and may help more junior members of chapter when necessary.
- Main responsibility is to gather, analyze and document software specifications and may assign small complexity tasks on more junior members of a team if needed.
- Responsible for update of documentation of assigned whole software applications.
- Advise less experienced analyst/s in effectively analyzing end-to-end business processes and eliciting business requirements and needs, including identification of business needs.
- It is expected that the output will be on a desired level according to company standards.
- Close cooperation with development, product/platform owners, QA and others is expected on daily basis including validation of user stories, QA and other outcomes.
- It is expected to be active part in creation of analysis standards. It is also expected to understand Takeda environment.
SCOPE
- Works with the business to identify the challenges and opportunities for digital solutions to make an impact.
- Advise less experienced analyst/s in effectively analyzing complex end-to-end business processes, business needs and eliciting business requirements.
- Collaborate with business team members, to create a proof of concept (POC) and describe what success looks like for business requirements to be met.
- Interprets Takeda's SDLC to help junior business analyst/s and various stakeholders, collaborate effectively during the entire journey including identification of opportunities.
- Maintain documentation and outputs for assigned parts of software.
- Process and decompose internal customer requirements into specifications and smaller blocks like user stories.
- Works with teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures.
- Provides continuous updates to stakeholders and Project Manager during project delivery, communicate changes, problems, and ambiguities in a timely manner.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of analysis methodologies and its capabilities, forms the bridge between the business, testing, validation, development and successful delivery of projects including user training and feedback.
ACTIVITES:
- Gather and analyze requirements from internal customers in form of discussions, workshops, interviews, refinement meetings etc.
- Process and decompose internal customer requirements into specifications and smaller blocks like user stories, create user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the stakeholders.
- Gather and incorporate suggestions from stakeholders into analytical outputs, data flow diagrams and proof of concepts.
- Maintain and manage changes in documentation and outputs for assigned parts of software.
- Create and update analytical outputs like software specifications and their components.
- Review and control internal outputs within the analytical team.
- Collaborate in defining, implementing, and improving processes, policies, and tools related to analysis.
- Prepare reports for the project manager / direct manager and present the results of the analysis.
- Ensure that analytical outputs are complete, consistent, understandable, achievable, unambiguous, verifiable and in line with established standards.
- Deliver tasks on time and in the required quality.
- Use and follow set standards and processes.
- Communicate changes, problems, and ambiguities in a timely manner.
- Identify issues during the development process and think of propose alternate solutions to meet the business needs/requirements.

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise (Breadth and depth of knowledge, application and complexity of technical knowledge)
- Ability to create tactical plans that support the execution of a broader strategy, ability to decompose high-level information into small parts, abstract small parts into large picture.
- Ability to find missing information and coordinate gathering of inputs on his own.
- Deep knowledge of relevant domains/products/journeys.
- Confident and skilled at identifying and navigating through technical roadblocks.
- Experience in Agile development.
- Nice to have: Familiarity/working knowledge of Databricks, Power BI, Jira, AWS, FTP/sFTP.

- Ability to effectively engage stakeholders and support them in their "Agile" journey; making sure that products owners and project stakeholders are aware and understand their roles in delivering a successful product.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant field, or other relevant work experience.
- 4+ years of experience in a business analysis area.
- 2+ years of experience within a Lean/Agile development environment.
- Certification in the field of Business Analysis (Recommended).
- Ability to understand and document system architecture and data flow diagrams.
- Proficient with writing SQL queries for querying data and analyzing them in Excel using filters, pivot tables and advanced formulas.
- Experience translating user requirements into test strategy and ensuring coverage in test cases.
- Flexibility in working with multiple systems and ability to navigate through applications and reports to document requirements and analyze issues.
- Ability to review/analyze/document business objectives, data flows, systems interactions and issues reported at multiple levels of granularity or aggregation based on needs.
- Highly organized and able to break down complex problems into manageable chunks and drive priorities based on expected outcomes and timelines.
- Training/mentor skills.
- Familiarity with Agile development principles and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to reach audiences of all levels of a large global organization.
