We are looking for an experienced and strategic Principal Business Analyst to join our Business Analytics team. In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of our core analytical products, including attribution modeling and user journey analysis. You will work cross-functionally to gather requirements, manage timelines, and ensure our data collection practices meet our evolving business needs. This role also involves shaping the strategic direction of our analytics efforts, driving initiatives that enhance our impact and broaden our coverage.
This is a senior individual contributor position with significant responsibilities, requiring a blend of advanced analytical skills, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal abilities.
What you'll do:
- Oversee the entire data infrastructure, analytics, and reporting for our key strategic analytical products.
- Utilize advanced analytics to answer critical business questions and provide actionable insights.
- Lead strategic, cross-functional projects to standardize data, increase its utilization, and promote data-driven decision-making.
- Effectively communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Cultivate strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Design and maintain user-friendly dashboards, reports, and presentations to support both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning.
Skills and knowledge you should possess:
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and solving complex business challenges.
- Demonstrated ownership and ability to independently drive projects from inception to completion.
- Exceptional analytical skills with expertise in interpreting complex datasets, identifying patterns, and translating business questions into effective analytical solutions.
- 7+ years of experience as a data analyst, with significant experience in complex data modeling (e.g., attribution, LTV, user journey).
- 3+ years of experience in marketing/growth analytics
- Prior experience in a consulting firm or advertising agency is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with senior executive stakeholders, combined with assertiveness and the ability to challenge the status quo when necessary.
- High proficiency in SQL is essential.
- Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Base Salary Range:
- NYC Metro, Bay Area, Seattle, & Los Angeles: $136,000 - $187,000
- All other US cities outside above metro areas: $122,400 - $168,300
