Capital One is looking for a Principal Associate to lead our Recruiting Team for the Business Analyst Digital First Students & Grads function. This is an exciting opportunity to infuse the organization with top-tier talent. In partnership with your team, you will effectively manage candidates through the recruiting and selection process, provide consulting and guidance to our Talent Acquisition teams, and participate in projects that enhance the recruiting experience. You will be passionate about keeping abreast of trends and innovative recruiting techniques that enable us to be a best-in-class recruitment shop.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Partner with business, group or organization leads, and key stakeholders within the Business Analyst Digital First Students & Grads function and work with the BA leadership to understand the talent profile.
  • Manage a team of recruiters, providing guidance, coaching, and development to ensure high performance and career growth.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle recruiting process and hiring deliverables for the Business Analyst Digital First team throughout the Students & Grads recruiting season. This will include sourcing talent from a variety of backgrounds to strengthen our pipeline pipelines, marketing Capital One's talent brand to attract top talent, supporting your team in screening candidates, managing your team's operations on a day to day basis.
  • Candidate management - support your team in executing sourcing plans to identify and recruit top talent for the Business Analyst Digital First Students & Grads function.
  • Work cross-functionally across a team of high performing recruiters and promote a culture of inspiration, empowerment, and inclusion.
  • Leverage recruiting data to proactively provide status updates and hiring results to leadership and HR partners, specifically for the Business Analyst Digital First Students & Grads function.
  • Lead your team in Source stellar candidates. Look beyond direct applications and leverage search engines, career sites, recruiting events, and other innovative sourcing techniques to find the best talent in the market for the Business Analyst Digital First Students & Grads roles
  • Lead additional critical areas within the Students and Grads Analyst team, including interviewer engagement and specialized location-based recruiting within certain functions for Analyst Students & Grads roles.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 3 years of experience in recruiting, human resources, OR 3 years of client consulting experience OR a combination of the three.
  • At least 1 year of experience leading or managing a team of recruiters.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification
  • 2+ years of People Leadership Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Corporate Recruiting - full life cycle, research, and sourcing, specifically within a Students & Grads or university recruiting environment.
  • Ability to influence and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use innovative techniques to attract and recruit diverse talent.
  • Experience in compensation and general HR requirements as related to hiring.
  • Experience recruiting for Business Analyst or technical roles within a digital-first environment.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Recruiter
Richmond, VA: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Recruiter
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
