You will have the opportunity to collaborate hands-on with clients, identify unique risk profiles, assess alternative risk transfer methods, and drive the implementation of customized solutions, including pooling solutions and captive insurance company strategies. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the insurance marketplace while supporting the mission of faith-based organizations.

What You'll Do

Operational Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement operational plans for alternative risk management services, including pooling solutions and captive insurance company structures.

  • Identify and respond to emerging trends and opportunities within the alternative risk landscape, focusing on practical, mission-aligned solutions.

Client Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong operational relationships with clients and ministry partners, understanding their unique risk needs and mission.

  • Present and implement tailored risk solutions, ensuring alignment with client and ministry partner objectives.

  • Support customized risk management strategies that enhance the long-term sustainability of ministry and organizational goals.

Product Implementation:

  • Lead the operational design and implementation of new alternative risk products, including those involving risk pooling and captive insurance models.

  • Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and claims teams to ensure cohesive product development and operational execution.

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth operational analysis of market trends, pooling mechanisms, and competitive landscape.

  • Utilize data analytics to support operational decision-making and strategy formulation for clients and ministry partners.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and develop junior staff and cross-functional teams, fostering operational expertise in pooling and captive insurance solutions.

  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, professional growth, and alignment of solutions with ministry mission.

Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure operational compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, particularly in the context of captive insurance and risk pooling arrangements.

  • Maintain high standards of ethical conduct and risk management practices in all alternative risk strategies.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in risk management, insurance, or alternative risk solutions, with expertise in pooling solutions, captive insurance, self-insurance, or alternative risk financing.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of alternative risk transfer mechanisms, including risk pooling and captive solutions.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders, particularly ministry partners, at all levels.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing alternative risk solutions, particularly captive insurance companies preferred.

  • Proficient in data analytics tools and risk modeling techniques preferred.
