Position Description:
Designs, implements, and improves technical solutions for Artificial Intelligence (AI) model deployment, data pipelines, hosting, and Application Programming Interface (API) access. Deploys code and services to Amazon Web Services (AWS) by establishing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Develops APIs and front-end applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python, or Angular. Extracts and manipulates data pulled from databases or unstructured data sources, by building AWS-based AI solutions. Performs deep data analysis on multiple database platforms using SQL. Supports customer personalization and optimization efforts according to AI and Machine Learning (ML) techniques.

- Automates manual and error prone processes using AI and ML techniques.
- Deploys ML models and operations.
- Deploys solutions using software engineering principles.
- Deploys solutions using Cloud technologies.
- Builds innovative and high business value AI powered solutions to improve customer experiences.
- Designs, builds, and automates complex and customized data pipelines with multiple ingress sources and consumers.
- Participates in architecture design discussions and implements application-level architecture.
- Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
- Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
- Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
- Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
- Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
- Advises senior management on technical strategy.
- Mentors junior team members.
- Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
- Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal, AI/ML Engineer (or closely related occupation) performing requirement gathering, design, and development of Oracle EBS application programs in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal, AI/ML Engineer (or closely related occupation) performing requirement gathering, design, and development of Oracle EBS application programs in a financial services environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) deploying AI/ML applications in Cloud using Python; implementing highly available and high-security Cloud and big data solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build data pipelines and develop daily file processing jobs; deploying AWS infrastructure using Docker and Cloud formation templates; and monitoring application performance using Data Dog.
- DE extracting and building AI model features from structured data bases and semi-structed data sources using Snowflake and Python; developing AI model deployment pipelines using Airflow DAG, Directed Acyclic Graph, or Step Functions; and identifying model and feature drift using Snow SQL, Python, and AWS services (Sagemaker and model monitoring).
- DE developing scalable and low latency (<100 millisecond) full stack applications and data solutions using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodologies; and resolving production issues in the AI/ML project lifecycle and ensuring end-to-end delivery.
- DE analyzing, architecting, modeling, designing, and developing database applications, data warehouses, and operational data stores using ETL tools (Informatica, SQL, and PL/SQL) and Control M (for scheduling) within a UNIX environment; and designing and developing pseudo record keeping system.
