Job Description
Summary: Principal, Account Executive Account Management leads initiatives to promote departmental efficiency and staff development for the Account Management Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Oversees the onboarding and initial training of new Account Executive Associates up to 12 weeks to ensure consistent onboarding across all lines of business; Responsible for maintaining Account Executive Onboarding Document;
• Designs and/or coordinates ongoing training for the Account Management Department, i.e. Train for Success;
• Provides Account Executive representation for the Account Management Department in interdepartmental meetings and committees. Establishes and maintains relationships with key department leaders to ensure successful interdepartmental interactions. Participates in cross departmental programs and products aimed at generating additional revenue and/or improving
services to client health plans;
• Leads, develops, manages, or assists with key corporate projects which require Account Executive input or leadership;
• Enhances and ensures access to appropriate resources, empowering Account Executives to operate efficiently and effectively to improve services to all clients;
• Responsibility of managing Account Management policy and procedures in C360;
• Involvement in Account Management automation improvement processes including Sales Force;
• Provides back-up for VP, Account Management upon request;
• Collaborate closely with CPM Principal, Account Management on special projects as assigned;
• RFP and PG support for new & existing business opportunities;

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) and ten plus (10+) years’ subject matter expert-level experience in the position duties listed; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Computer Skills
Intermediate to advanced computer skills; proficient with MS Office/Outlook and client databases
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
None currently required.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of the health benefits arena, government prescription programs, preferably in pharmacy benefits management required; knowledge of healthcare products and contracts preferred; Consultative selling and negotiation skills; Demonstrated experience creating and delivering client presentations using; Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, persuasion and consulting skills required; Good interpersonal skills, excellent communication, writing and presentation skills essential;
Other Qualifications
Outstanding knowledge of the health benefits arena, preferably in pharmacy benefits management “PBM” or other managed healthcare services to national and regional managed care organizations, insurance companies, and other health related entities.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

Work Location
This position works on-site at the San Diego Headquarters or other company location (or from a remote location with management approval based on business requirements). Must provide adequate support to internal clients; be available for regular interactions and coordination of work with other employees,
colleagues, clients, or vendors; as well as be available to facilitate effective decisions through collaboration with stakeholders.
Working Hours
This is an exempt level position requiring one to work the hours needed to get the job done. Therefore one must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required. This may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business. Typical core business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Travel
This position requires no travel however attendance maybe required at various local conferences and
meetings.
