With ZEOS (B2B Logistics) we are working towards the vision of delivering “Europe unlocked” to make e-commerce easier and better for brands and retailers. By productizing Zalando’s proven capabilities, we aim to build an operating system for the fashion and lifestyle industry that equips brands and retailers to successfully run their online business. . 

Being a relatively small and young business unit within Zalando, as a Pricing Strategy Principal in ZEOS you will be in a key and influential position to shape and strengthen our holistic pricing strategy across logistics, software and services that we offer to our B2B customers. You will work closely with different teams within ZEOS such as Product, Commercial, Controlling, Marketing and Strategy as we strive to further understand and quantify the value proposition of our innovative and new services, setting our teams up for scaling efficiently and ensuring both our profitability as well as the one of our merchants.

This position is a part-time temporary position until the end of March 2027.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Strategic Pricing Projects: You will spearhead pivotal strategic pricing initiatives in collaboration with teams across Zalando and ZEOS, helping them to make data-based decisions

  • Product-market-fit: You will translate questions into testable hypotheses and research questions to drive business to the next level. Your deep dive analyses and visualisations on large & diverse data sets will help us to develop our pricing models and product-market fit analysis

  • Process Optimization & Efficiency: You will design and implement efficiency measures to drastically improve speed, quality, and collaboration within the Pricing team and beyond incl. using AI where needed

  • Complex Problem Solving: You will provide hands-on support with standard pricing requests while diving deep into complex, tailored pricing requests to uncover actionable commercial value.

  • Best Practices & Documentation: You'll define guidelines and structures on effective documentation and result sharing within our organisation.

  • Trend Adoption: You'll encourage and drive the adoption of industry and academic trends in our organisation and help others 

  • Market research: Together with other teams in ZEOS, you conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify pricing opportunities and potential threats.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • 10+ years of experience in pricing analysis, strategy, or related roles within the logistics, e-commerce or digital services industry, ideally with exposure to both physical and digital logistics services.

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability in a B2B context as well as leading efficiency projects to streamline processes

  • Advanced understanding of pricing strategies, models and methodologies as well as their impact on business performance, ideally within a logistics and supply chain context.

  • Deep knowledge of pricing dynamics and the competitive landscape within the Logistics and ecommerce industry.

  • You balance technical acumen with business understanding and excel in collaborating with other stakeholders to drive insightful, robust analyses and enable data-driven decision-making

  • Apply logical and easy-to-understand frameworks to deal with complex issues and propose new analytical approaches & solutions.

  • Proficient in data transformation and statistical computing. Advanced skills and experience in BI/Data Tools (preferably MicroStrategy), Excel and Google Spreadsheets. Experience with R/Python/SQL is a big plus as well as experience with implementing AI solutions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience working together with stakeholders at senior management level.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field
