Job Description:
The Arrow Electronics PCBA Pricing Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). This role plays a critical function in winning new business by balancing cost accuracy, supply chain risk, and margin targets.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in EMS environments, understands high-mix/low-volume quoting dynamics, and can independently manage RFQs from receipt through final submission.
What You'll Be Doing:
Prepare PCBA cost estimates for RFQs (BOM, Gerber, drawings)
Calculate material, assembly, and test costs for PCB assemblies
Analyze BOMs for pricing, alternates, and lifecycle status
Source electronic components from distributors and suppliers
Work with procurement and engineering teams for cost validation
Support pricing strategy for customer quotes and bids
Maintain RFQ tracking and pricing records in Excel/ERP systems
Identify cost reduction opportunities and alternate sourcing options
What We're Looking For:
Required Skills:
3+ years experience in EMS, electronics manufacturing, or PCBA quoting
Knowledge of PCB assembly (SMT, THT) and electronic components
Ability to read BOMs, Gerber files, and engineering drawings
Strong Excel skills for costing and data analysis
Experience with ERP systems is a plus
This role will perform work covered by International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Viable candidates for this position must be eligible for an export license or be a U.S. Person (which includes but is not limited to U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees).
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Tier 2 or Tier 3 EMS companies
Knowledge of supply chain and component sourcing
Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: 3 days in office/2 days work from home
Education/Experience:
Typically requires 5–7 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience.
