Job Description:
We are seeking a Pricing Specialist for HPE Financial Services. The position requires the candidate to interface with the HPE Financial Services Go To Market Team to provide IT financing solutions to customers. The position involves obtaining an understanding of the customer’s financing needs and providing responsive and creative pricing for Strategic Accounts Segment Deals. The candidate is an expert in lease pricing and provides valuable ideas for IT consumption models and flexible structuring. The Pricing Specialist will provide mentoring and guidance to Pricing Specialists with on-the-job experience and help resolve complex pricing issues. To offer strategic support and business analysis to the HPEFS Sales community across the Strategic Accounts segment by providing intelligence that will lead to business growth across all segments.
Key responsibilities
Provide lease structuring to the Go To Market for new customer opportunities.
Partner with Solution Architect team in designing flexible pricing structures and programs
Work with Sales to design a solution that address Customer’s pain points
Support the Service Excellence team with pricing requests and questions.
Provide global pricing solutions for Strategic Accounts segment
Support Sales Community with Complex pricing structures
Collect competitive lease rates and provide competitive lease rate analyses.
Develop quarterly update pricing for the existing HPEFS customers.
Communicate and distribute the new pricing prior to the next quarter and established deadlines
Provide pricing expertise to the Credit and Legal Organizations.
Assist Sales community with profitability and lease vs buy analyses.
Train HPEFS New Joiners on pricing policies and procedures.
Provide pricing training to new Go To Market team members.
Provide pricing training and ongoing guidance to new Pricing Specialists.
Interface with Tax, Accounting, Treasury, and Legal to ensure the current assumptions are reflected in the pricing models.
Develop Excel pricing models and tools for specific business requirements
Qualifications:
The candidate should have a bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance.
The position requires Accounting and / or Finance experience, and good quantitative and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management is required.
Works on complex problems / projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives
Typically, 3-5 years of experience in a business-related function, preferably finance or accounting.
Advanced understanding of internal business processes and policies.
Strong business acumen and understanding of accounting concepts
The following will be considered a strong advantage:
Knowledge of HPE FS 'to market’ strategies, business units and segments
Understanding of the leasing industry and how business is done within the context of HPEFS
Prior experience working with Sales supporting functions (SE, AM, Finance, Sales Strategy and Planning, Enabling Teams)
Knowledge and skills:
Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills (incl Power Point)
In-depth understanding of core company businesses and the time value of money
Superior MS Excel knowledge – pivots, formulas, vlookup, consolidation of large amounts of data, accuracy
Strong problem solving, and analytical skills.
Multi-tasker with the ability to equally execute on strategic initiatives and tactical project plans
Effective influencer of business decisions with the ability to give and receive feedback
Excellent business judgement
Strong ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
The candidate must be able to work in a virtual team environment.
Good interpersonal and team works skills are required.
Impacts multiple teams on medium to large projects.
Networks with other cross functional teams to share business knowledge.
Effective Organization, Time Management, Prioritization, Follow-up and Execution skills
