Purpose Statement
The APAC Pricing & Rebates Manager is responsible for driving pricing and rebate policy, process standardization, and governance across APAC markets. The role leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of regional pricing frameworks, controls, approval threshold methodologies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistent, compliant, and scalable pricing practices across the region.
The role partners closely with APAC markets to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of pricing and rebate policies, local SOPs, governance controls, and pricing processes aligned with regional standards and local market requirements. This includes supporting markets through annual pricing governance reviews, pricing process harmonization, operational readiness activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, the role supports the implementation, adoption, and governance of pricing and rebate digital tools and enterprise transformation initiatives to strengthen operational effectiveness, transparency, scalability, and pricing governance maturity across APAC.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of APAC pricing and rebate policy.
- Drive pricing and rebate process standardization and harmonization across APAC markets while balancing policy requirements with local market needs.
- Partner with market and regional stakeholders to support the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of local Pricing and Rebate SOPs aligned with APAC governance standards.
- Support and oversee annual pricing review activities across markets, including SOP review, pricing master review, approval threshold assessments, controls and compliance activities.
- Provide guidance and operational support to markets on pricing and rebate policy interpretation, process implementation, governance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead pricing and rebate process mapping, workflow optimization, and improvement initiatives to strengthen operational effectiveness, scalability, transparency, and audit readiness.
- Partner with markets and cross-functional teams to support the implementation, adoption, and governance of pricing and rebate digital tools and reporting capabilities.
- Partner closely with Finance, Commercial Operations, IT, and other cross-functional stakeholders to support pricing policy and governance alignment, process consistency, and operational readiness across APAC.
- Analyze pricing and rebate data to identify pricing risks, governance gaps, margin leakage trends, process optimization opportunities, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Act as a key regional contact for assigned markets on pricing policy and process implementation, execution challenges, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent APAC in global pricing, rebates and process excellence forums, as applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, or related field. MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage
- Require minimum 8–10+ years of relevant experience in pricing, commercial excellence, commercial finance, process excellence from a global MNCs
- Experience developing and implementing policies, governance frameworks, SOPs, and operational processes across regional or multi-country environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across markets and cross-functional teams to drive alignment, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret pricing and operational data and translate insights into practical business recommendations.
- Working knowledge of ERP/CRM systems, pricing tools, and commercial processes, with experience supporting process improvement, digitization, or transformation initiatives preferred.
