We are seeking a Pricing Operations Analyst who will manage and implement all corporate/franchise and specific market (Competition) regular and promotional pricing for all stores in designated market. This position will support other markets as well as set up and maintain all Coupons offers. This position will also Identify and implement pricing solutions that ensure the integrity of GNC’s pricing programs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Manage the regular price and promotional pricing structures
  • Own the setup and execution of all corporate coupons by testing coupon offers to recommend the best offer to fit desired promotion
  • Exercise sound problem solving to resolve execution conflicts with complex promotional offers across multiple channels
  • Implement strategies and proactively identify errors prior to promotion event start
  • Lead or support small projects in varying scope regarding new promotion or coupon offers
  • Provide data or insights to support inquiries about pricing history and coupon distribution/redemption
  • Identify, document and resolve pricing problems reported by the field
  • Develop and manage databases for the competition programs, store pricing set-ups and promotional events
  • Periodically disseminate reports across functional teams
  • Works with IT and POS to correct bugs that prevent the correct calculation of promotional offers while diligently reporting and tracking system issues
  • Develop and maintain training documentation and formally train new cross-functional employees on coupon setup
  • Assist with competitive price shops and maintain/organize data for use by merchants
  • Provide support to the field with regard to the pricing system/architecture and occasionally with POS register operations
  • All other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities

PHYSICAL ASPECTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Hybrid work environment, 2-3 days in-person attendance (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
  • Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with emphasis on merchandising, planning, allocation, marketing or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
  • 2+ years of pricing experience preferred
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite including intermediate proficiency in Excel, e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, sorting, and filters
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Experience with SQL preferred
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of pricing experience
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, sorting, filters)
  • Experience with SQL
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and planning skills
  • Project management experience (from conception to completion)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analysis and interpretation
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts (rates, ratios, percentages, graphs)
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to work hybrid with 2-3 days in-person attendance in Pittsburgh, PA
