Pricing Expert
The Pricing Expert ensures the strategic development, governance, and continuous improvement of pricing for software and services delivered to banks. She/He drafts and proposes for approval pricing strategies, pricing concepts, and calculation methodologies, ensuring they are competitive, transparent, and consistently applied across the organization. The role serves as a central liaison between Product, Finance, Sales, Delivery, Compliance, and external auditors, ensuring that pricing models are robust, transparent, audit‑ready, and fully aligned with market and regulatory standards.
What your key responsibilities will be:
Draft, define, and approve pricing strategies for software products and IT services for banking clients.
Create and maintain pricing concepts (SaaS, licenses, time and material, bundling, rate cards, discount rules, commercial guardrails etc).
Design, document, and continuously improve pricing calculation methodologies (units, assumptions, allocation logic, margin rules, exceptions).
Define and maintain cost models supporting pricing decisions; perform regular cost and margin reviews and drive optimization.
Cooperate with Controlling team to identify relevant costs and determine appropriate allocation keys for pricing and cost models.
Maintain and continuously update the pricing policy and methodology documentation, including governance, approvals, and version control.
Work with external auditors to validate pricing methodology and provide evidence, traceability, and calculation samples.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent pricing implementation and clear communication to stakeholders and clients.
Skills and experience we expect from you:
Experience in Product, Pricing, Commercial/Product Operations, Service Management, Client Services, or Project Management in an IT/software environment.
Proven ability to build and govern pricing strategies, pricing models, and calculation methodologies.
Strong analytical skills and experience with cost modelling, margin analysis, and structured documentation.
Experience working with auditors or in audit-heavy / regulated environments, ideally serving financial services clients.
Ability to translate complex technical and financial concepts into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
Very good knowledge of English and confidence using modern workplace technologies.
Knowledge of German is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, resilience, and strong cross-functional collaboration mindset.
