Role Objectives:
The WEP Clinical Pricing and Proposals Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting sales operations for WEP service lines from the initial deal stage through handoff to Project Management. The Manager of Pricing and Proposals will act as the primary internal point of contact, coordinating responses to RFIs and RFPs for WEP service lines. This role serves as the subject matter expert on pricing strategy and proposal content, collaborating closely with sales directors and relevant department members to organize and deliver high-quality, client-focused proposals. Additionally, the Manager will partner with department leadership to support commercial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute pricing strategies for WEP service lines, including responses to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Draft high-quality, client-focused proposals, quotes, and RFI documents in collaboration with Business Development.
  • Use internal pricing tools and market analysis to build program budgets and pricing models, and conduct P&L analyses to evaluate project budgets, profitability, and pricing adjustments.
  • Coordinate with operational teams to gather assumptions and inputs for proposal budgets and timelines.
  • Ensure accurate data entry in the ERP system to support contract billing, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Review and validate input from SMEs to ensure pricing strategies align with operational feasibility and delivery expectations.
  • Facilitate internal alignment on pricing strategies, payment terms, and contract structures, and identify, communicate, and mitigate potential budget risks.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of pricing and proposal submissions.
  • Negotiate directly with clients, clearly articulating the value proposition and contractual terms, and serve as a contact for customer and vendor inquiries related to pricing and contracts.
  • Review contract terms, monitor amendments, and ensure ongoing compliance with agreed-upon conditions.
  • Support marketing initiatives by developing content that reinforces the value proposition, and prepare win/loss analyses while managing the content library and master RFP/vendor question database.
  • Potentially oversee and mentor team members as the business grows, contributing to team development, workload management, and process improvement initiatives.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Science, Business, Pharmaceutical, or Finance fields 
  • 5–10 years of experience in proposal development, pricing strategies, and business development support
  • Previous experience in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) or the pharmaceutical industry
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of contracts and experience in compliance monitoring
