Role Summary
The Pricing and Patient Access Program (PAP) Utilization Specialist shall be responsible to enable pricing strategies across categories and to prepare and analyze reports for patient access programs.
This position will be responsible to ensure compliance to local regulatory requirements in pricing of Pfizer assets and includes support by verifying accurate implementation of pricing strategies for new & existing products by leveraging cross-category strategies, tools & best practices, in coordination with global pricing and local commercial functions, and by providing support to Channel Team in ensuring accurate and timely processing of all rebates and claims payment to all customers.
In addition, this position is responsible to prepare and analyze reports pertaining to all Patient Access Programs including identifying of data variances from different data sources. This includes performing audit of Patient Access Programs data and issues resolution.
The position is under the supervision of Patient Access Lead in close coordination with Channel and Pricing Analytics Manager and Health Access Specialist (HAS) for Patient Programs. The role will also entail monitoring of distribution KPIs, Patient Access Program (PAP) program milestones, management and resolution of program operational issues or third-party vendor deviations according to Pfizer policies.
Role Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage local health authorities and/or government-mandated price-related changes to ensure compliance to pricing updates and implementation by ensuring adequate tracking of government regulations and timely processing of price changes according to internal processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all claims and rebates through close collaboration with respective internal stakeholders including the Channel Team, Finance and external stakeholders including the distribution's Finance and Sales Team by t racking sales transactions and prepare reports that includes adherence to claims and rebates programs of all Channel Teams.
  • Provide comprehensive analysis on Patient Access Program reports identifying gaps in the data by conducting monthly reconciliation of all PAP sales records generated by distribution partner, Third-party vendors including patient enrollment, medicines claims, free goods, and commercial stocks and to that of pharmacy partners including dispensed medicines for both commercial and free goods and free goods coming from safekeeping.
  • Manage issues or complaints from claims, rebates payment processing, price changes, including issues and concerns regarding of PAP related to pharmacy free goods, and to find proper resolution by collaborating with respective stakeholders including the Channel Team, Finance and with the distribution partners.
  • Ensure competitive pricing intelligence and provide technical and business knowledge, under supervision, to support colleagues as necessary.
  • Carry out pricing analysis and/or pricing projects to evaluate and make recommendations on optimal pricing strategies.
  • Manage pricing-related research as needed to support innovative access strategies and mitigate business risks and minimize negative financial impact from local regulatory mandates.
  • Manage local price changes and e nsure accurate and up-to-date pricing information and implementation, ensuring alignment between the prices on the country price list, according to local health authority requirements, and as approved by HQ:
    • Perform review and timely submission of required quarterly government price reporting and monthly GPM price validation.
    • Primary point of contact to inform on current list price for tenders, formulary inclusion, as requested and in coordination with local teams.
    • Perform review and submission of pricing requests and required reports to local authorities as necessary.
    • Work with the Channel Teams (Retail, Private and Government) in the development of reports and templates that measure and drive overall Channel strategy.
    • Perform final validation and monthly close out of records and balances for all PAP transactions ensuring that all data is clean and accurate.
    • Responsible in creating dashboards and report templates for all PAP transactions and provide analysis and insights from the data generated.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • With at least 4 years' experience in the pharmaceutical/health industry with knowledge on pharmaceutical compliance requirements and demonstrated mastery of key processes within functional area of expertise.
  • Qualifications in allied health or other life sciences, or market access environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, technical and analytical skills.
  • Able to process and analyze large amount of data, proficient in excel and other data processing tools to successfully deliver complex reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at various levels within the organization and external stakeholders.
  • With experience working successfully in a matrix team preferred.
  • Prior experience with customer-facing initiatives preferred
  • Vendor management experience strongly preferred

  • Excellent project management skills and experience of managing third-party vendors
