Role summary

The role reports into the Country General manager with a dotted line to Global Head of market access. The Market Access and Government Affairs Director Iberia is responsible for driving the strategy development and execution of the pricing and market access strategy from a pre- and post- product launch perspective, as well as life cycle management. The role plays a key part in the country leadership team for Iberia and is expected to be a key contributor to the Global Market Access network. This position will have indirect leadership over KAMs relating to access matters, and in collaboration with the Commercial Director.

Responsibilities

  • Lead successful, timely execution and achievement of National, Regional and Local pricing and reimbursement for Mundipharma brands, with key focus on launch brand Rezzayo. Optimize patient access (positioning) and benefit from, plus manage any payer or reimbursement obstacles for, Mundipharma’s established brand portfolio. Lead the KAM on payer engagement front, use of relevant payer materials and all other reimbursement and payer engagement challenges.
  • Develop market access strategies, recommendations and tools for standardization opportunities (including market access scenarios, clinical development and relevant prices for the payer), in addition to guaranteeing and strengthening the institutional image, always in an ethical and transparent manner, always respecting the rules of conduct determined in our Code of Ethical Conduct. Identify and correct unsafe conditions and/or behaviors, immediately reporting any dangerous situation. Develop an action plan, in line with Mundipharma's strategy, to improve relationships, reduce disallowances as much as possible and speed up reimbursement of service providers;
  • Develop market access dossiers, tools, advisory boards, strategic workshops, and materials with external expert (payer, HCP, Provider) input and insights. Managing the relationship with the main Strategic Market Access stakeholders.
  • Maintain frequent visits to clients defined as strategic, working with opinion leaders and key influence groups in the decision-making process, to identify business opportunities and overcome possible political and technical-regulatory obstacles; identify in advance threats and opportunities that impact on market access, proposing alternatives and strategies.
  • Working together with Commercial, Marketing, Medical, Regulatory Affairs in order to support strategies and seek support for excellence in the performance of the function's activities and to expand business opportunities, speed up the solution of access problems and contribute to the expansion of sales. Work together with the Global Market Access team in adapting the global strategy to the local market, leading the design of the local Access strategy, and managing the implementation in the organization.

What you will bring

  • University degree in administration, marketing, business management or healthcare
  • Life sciences or academic qualification in Health Economics at postgraduate level (an advantage but not essential.
  • Extensive experience in  experience in Pricing, Market Access, Health Economics, Public Affairs, ideally for hospital brands
  • Experience negotiating assets at all levels in managing corporate governance, compliance, and medical affairs in the Iberia region
  • Advanced/Fluent English skills
  • Fluent Spanish skills
  • Portuguese language skills would be an advantage but not essential
  • Knowledge and experience in HTA and market access in Spain and Portugal:
  • Detailed knowledge of systems and structures. In-depth knowledge of HTA value
  • assessment principles. Can coordinate and manage cross-functional requirements
  • and anticipate specific needs through development.
  • Is a go-to person for specific technical expertise. Identifies key risks and opportunities, interprets, and synthesizes key reports/publications to highlight pertinent points cross-functionally.
  • Internal value architect contributes to the planning of evidence of value across all assets. Develops and implements early warning strategies, HTA and value strategy plans. Coordinates activities with other areas of the company and directs requirements between internal and external partners.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches in several indications.
  • Demonstrable external stakeholder engagement experience.

Salary range

120k -125k EUR per annum
