The Role
Manages pricing systems, quotation processes, cost analyses, pricing controls, and performance reporting. Serves as a technical liaison among customers, sales, engineering, operations, product management, and R&D. Evaluates customer applications, recommends products, supports product design and development, guides customers on technical solutions, and identifies cost savings. Maintains pricing databases and quoting documentation while supporting new business development and process improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and improve pricing systems and the quotation process; provide cost analysis on new projects based on production costs, margins, and customer data; develop a business case for approval
- Develop, implement, and improve pricing process controls.
- Track all changes to quotations through the entire process and manage C1; report monthly metrics on pipeline/leads, wins, losses, etc.
- Create a database of pricing/ process for comparison and strategy development; develop and maintain standardized documents for tracking each stage of the quoting process
- Effectively influence and interact with sales, customer service, leadership, and product management.
- Lead and perform advanced product line, customer performance, and realization analysis for reporting out.
- Effectively manage mitigation and data-basing of price discrepancies.
- Act as liaison between Customer, Sales, Engineering, and Operations to define correct products for technical applications. Will often result in new product developments and/or process improvements for best product performance or expected results.
- Work with R&D Lab on testing and submittal process for new and existing products.
- Provide technical guidance to customers on Osborn Products
- Serve as the technical liaison between customers and Osborn product engineering.
- Help provide material or product solutions to generate documented cost savings.
- Support Osborn application and design groups (new business development)
- Perform detailed technical analysis of customer applications, recommend products, and support the design process.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- College degree (engineering, business, sales) preferred or equivalent work experience
- Previous industrial application expertise in industrial polishing, industrial deburring, primary metal material handling and/or power transmission conveyance
- Proven experience with industrial or technical products is a plus
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to 10%
- Computer Skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems; expertise in SAP
- Working knowledge of part creation, routing development, Bill of Material structures
- Previous product design and development a plus
- Project management a plus
- Full understanding of the product development process
- Minimum of two years’ experience with pricing, analytics, and process development
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects promptly
Skills Required
