About the Role
WM New Zealand is excited to offer a Pricing Analyst position to a bright individual eager to make an impact. Reporting directly to the Pricing Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting senior management with crucial pricing strategies and market analysis. Your insights will shape key business decisions and drive efficiency throughout the organization.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Pricing Analysis & Reporting: Perform regular pricing reporting and data collection to keep key stakeholders informed and on track.
- Cost-saving Opportunities: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across the business.
- Market Data Insights: Collect, compile, and analyse pricing, sales, and market data to provide valuable insights that assist senior management.
- Pricing Strategy Management: Oversee pricing policies and methodologies, ensuring they reflect best practices and align with departmental goals.
- Tender & Project Pricing: Assist in pricing tenders and projects, ensuring competitive and sustainable pricing strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 3–5 years of experience in a commercial or analytical role, ideally with pricing experience.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in modelling and interpreting financial information.
- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Accounting, Finance, or Statistics would be beneficial).
- Proficiency in Power Query and Excel Macros; knowledge of SQL would be highly regarded.
- IT skills using the Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with analytical data languages/packages (desirable).
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
