Job DescriptionRole Purpose
The Pricing Analyst supports the delivery of EMAP’s regional pricing strategy, with a primary focus on supporting commercial deals through robust pricing analysis, governance, and insight.
The role works closely with Sales and the Strategic Pricing Business Partner to ensure pricing decisions are data led, compliant, and aligned to regional and central pricing frameworks. This is a development role, building strong commercial capability and exposure to pricing decision making.
Key Accountabilities
Deal Support & Pricing Execution
- Support regional sales teams on renewal, upsell, and new business deals through accurate pricing analysis and recommendations
- Assess deal pricing against rate cards, discount guardrails, and value frameworks within agreed approval thresholds.
- Model pricing scenarios to highlight commercial impact, risks, and trade offs.
- Ensure all deal pricing is clearly documented and approved in line with governance.
Pricing Governance & Performance Insight
- Operate within established pricing policies, approval frameworks, and controls to protect yield and margin.
- Track and report on pricing activity, including discounting, yield, and revenue risk at deal level.
- Identify and flag pricing inconsistencies, leakage, or non‑standard activity to the Strategic Pricing Business Partner.
Stakeholder Support & Capability Development
- Act as a first point of contact for day‑to‑day pricing queries from market sales teams.
- Provide clear guidance on pricing approach, processes, and tools.
- Build strong understanding of EMAP’s products, customers, and commercial priorities, progressing capability toward a full Pricing Business Partner role.
Qualifications
- A degree is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
- Early career experience or demonstrable interest in pricing or commercial roles
- Strong analytical capability
- Confidence working within defined processes and governance frameworks
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain pricing outputs clearly to stakeholders in Sales and Commercial teams
