Why you will love this opportunity as Pricing Analyst at Civica
As Pricing Analyst within Civica’s Global Pricing team, you will be responsible for improving the effectiveness of our pricing tools, policies and frameworks across our portfolio of software solutions. You will also partner with sales teams to price up sales opportunities more effectively and in line with rapidly evolving business needs.
All of this work needs to be conducted in a way that ensures the integrity of our tools are maintained. To close the feedback loop you will participate in the definition of standard reports that capture pricing improvements across the business and be called upon as subject matter expert to increase awareness of how to use pricing tools, processes and frameworks.
We are looking for a team player with exceptional analytical skills who is keen to make a commercial impact.
What you will do to be successful in this role:
- Act as first line support for the Pricing Engines and interfaces with other systems.
- Performing triage on incoming queries, issues and requests, ensuring sufficient information is secure for them to be progressed, resolving those within your assigned remit and escalating those that need wider input
- Build, maintain and refine our pricing tools including carrying out testing for new builds and refinements before release to sales teams, covering both input and output mechanisms.
- Conduct training sessions, handling ad-hoc engine related requests from the business, ad-hoc changes to templates and tooling as well as elementary governance work.
- Run, maintain and improve standard reports & dashboards, extracting data from internal systems and structuring it for analysis.
- Work with internal analytics team and Pricing Managers to enhance standardized reporting on pricing performance
- Run pricing calibration sessions with internal teams.
- Build and sustain Pricing Engine Documentation – web based platform that contains guidance notes, best practice, toolkits, communications groups, driving usage with business teams
Requirements
- Able to work on own initiative, seeing past what is requested and deriving what is needed
- Experience of presenting complex ideas to senior level stakeholders
- Strongly numerical, demonstrated with degree-level qualification
- Excellent attention to detail and QA – “auditor-level” approach
- Thinks and works in a clear, structured way
- Highly competent in Excel, including VBA/macros, working with complex and/or unstructured/ ‘dirty’ data
- Experience with SaaS Pricing would be useful
- Demonstrable track record of Pricing or similar roles with commercial responsibility
- Practical Experience with CPQ Systems
- Working knowledge of accounting; familiarity with structure and requirements of P&L, cashflow, balance sheet
