Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Pricing Analyst /Principal Pricing Analyst to join our team of talented and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL to support the Global Battle Management & Readiness Division. The ideal candidate will be a team player, but also an independent contributor, will be proactive, possess leadership skills, as well as good analytical and problem-solving skills.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Develops, analyzes, evaluates, coordinates, prepares, and supports cost proposals for government and commercial customers
- Reviews Requests for Proposals (RFP) and proposal documents for compliance to customer specifications/requirements and adherence to company policy
- Ensures Northrop Grumman Estimating System compliance and provides interpretation of RFP requirements
- Ensures adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), and Northrop Grumman policies and procedures with regard to cost proposal preparation, review, compliance, submission, updates/revisions, and negotiations
- Supports audit requests, fact-finding, and negotiation discussions and the program budget baseline process
- Supports various departmental business management & operations functions
- Creates/administers pricing databases and coordinates implementation of pricing proposals across the organization
- Ensures FAR/DFAR compliance of proposals and supports proposals through the NAR/ICE and C101 corporate approval process
- Supports the front-end business acquisition process by developing proposals
Basic Qualifications: Pricing Analyst
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of proposal, pricing or financial related experience - OR - Master's Degree with 1 year of proposal, pricing or financial related experience. Will consider additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Working Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, TINA and other Government procurement regulations as they pertain to bid/costing proposals.
- Experience in bidding to different contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, T&M).
- General knowledge and competence in the concepts, principles and standard practices in costing and pricing.
- Experience and understanding of statistical analysis and limitations thereof (sample size implications, statistical power, forecast error, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Basic Qualifications: Principal Pricing Analyst
- Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of proposal, pricing or financial related experience - OR - Master's Degree with 4 years of proposal, pricing or financial related experience. Will consider additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- Working Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, CAS, TINA and other Government procurement regulations as they pertain to bid/cost proposals
- Experience in bidding to different contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, T&M).
- General knowledge and competence in the concepts, principles and standard practices in costing and pricing
- Experience and understanding of statistical analysis and limitations thereof (sample size implications, statistical power, forecast error, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Estimating Professional (CEP)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Experience with probability modeling (@Risk or Crystal Ball)
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and other Government Regulations
- Proficiency in ProPricer
- Experience working with Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and analyzing BOE quality
- Experience with advanced Excel functionalities
- Experience with parametric modeling
- Experience conducting cost analysis and risk modeling
- Current, active DoD Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance
Salary Range: $68,800.00 - $103,200.00Salary Range 2: $84,600.00 - $127,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
