For everyone, everywhere.

More about our mission and what we offer.

Job Description

If you're a creative, curious PR professional looking for your next step into media relations and storytelling at a fast growing organisation with a regional scope, we'd like to hear from you. In this role, you'll get to work on the day-to-day press office activity for Thailand - one of Wise's newest APAC markets - while supporting PR across Indonesia and Hong Kong. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who loves writing, has a nose for a good story, and wants to get into the weeds and details of building our brand presence from the ground up.

Must have existing legal authorization to work in Singapore. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

What you'll do:

  • Be hands-on in building our Thailand press office from scratch: Map the media landscape, identify the journalists and outlets that matter, and establish Wise's earned media presence in a brand-new market.

  • Spot and act on newsjacking opportunities: Stay close to travel, finance, and cultural trends across your markets and move quickly to position Wise in the conversation when relevant moments arise. We’re looking for someone who can be whip-smart in their thinking around creating news - not just announcing product features - finding genuine, newsworthy angles around travel, money management

  • Generate earned social press coverage: You'll think beyond the traditional press to spot and shape stories with real social-native potential - share-worthy, visual, or culturally resonant angles that will generate earned attention on Instagram or TikTok.

  • Support Indonesia and Hong Kong press office: Maintain consistent BAU media relations and reactive coverage across these markets, working alongside agency partners where relevant.

  • Partner with regional marketing: Work closely with the Asia Marketing team to support integrated campaigns and product launch announcements

  • Be accountable for measurement, reporting and retros for your markets.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • 2-4 years in PR or communications, in-house or agency, with hands-on media relations experience.

  • Strong writing skills: Press releases, pitch emails, and briefing documents are second nature. You write clearly, persuasively, and can adapt tone for different journalists and audiences.

  • Genuine creativity: You think in story ideas, not just announcements. You can take a flat product fact and find the angle that makes it newsworthy.

  • Curiosity: Some regional exposure is useful, but what matters most is genuine interest and a willingness to learn the brand and the markets you work on quickly.

  • Multi-channel earned attention: You understand how earned coverage plays out on social platforms in Southeast Asia, and can spot stories with shareable, social-native potential.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity: You'll need initiative and resourcefulness to build from near-zero - with support of course.

  • Proficient in English. Thai language skills are a strong plus, though not required.
