The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading equipment engineering projects from start to finish, including but not limited to: project scope development, creation of detailed implementation plans and timelines, and the coordination of internal / external resources to execute these plans. The qualified candidate will analyze and diagnose equipment losses and their impact within the team environment to identify continuous improvement projects. This person will be expected to work and track multiple projects autonomously. The Engineering Supervisor will also track and manage the inventory of critical spare parts. This role is also responsible for scheduling weekly overtime.
Preferred QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or journeyman status required
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in automated manufacturing systems (mechanical/electrical)
- A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience leading a technical group
- Ability to proactively coordinate resources autonomously
- Must be familiar with the functions of PLC, motion control, communication protocols, knowledge of PC based control and programming
- Self-directed and able to continually prioritize tasks based on departmental goals
- Must have strong abilities to problem solve
- Able to define work tasks
- Ability to identify the ownership of engineering responsibilities
- Skilled in industrial electrical repair or troubleshooting required
- Must be open and able to work any shift as projects required
