Preferred candidates will have some experience, technical skills and knowledge of the converting process.
- Preparing raw material rolls for printing
- Placing rolls in machine and preparing for splicing
- Assisting in removing rolls from rewind
- Removing and weighing startup rolls at beginning of job
- Filling and maintaining viscosity of all inks and varnishes
- Filling and tending to all adhesives and cold seals as needed when working on PR01
- Operating elevator safely during machine changeovers while swapping print cylinders, aniloxes, doctor blade chambers and ink pans.
- Assisting operator in staging future jobs for pending changeovers
- Daily housekeeping including upkeep of Food Safety and 5S standards on machines
- Removal and disposal of trash from work area
- Assisting operator in monitoring quality
- Assisting operator in wide variety of tasks relating to maximizing productivity and quality
- Carrying out machine crew Preventative Maintenance program tasks during scheduled PM sessions
