The President will ensure that BID Needham functions at the highest levels including delivering safe, high-quality coordinated care, efficient management of resources, smooth and efficient administrative services, and implementation of strategic and operational plans. The President will be responsible for the executive leadership, strategic growth, and fiscal health of BID Needham. They will recognize the inclusive and collaborative culture of the hospital that has made it a success in the community and among its patients and use that as a steppingstone to further integrate into the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) system.The President will work collaboratively with system-wide leadership and other BILH hospital and business unit presidents to advance goals to strengthen its mission of becoming a fully integrated system of patient care, education, research, and community service. This individual will identify new strategic partnerships that extend into the community, ensuring a robust health system distinguished by offering outstanding patient care programs and strong financial performance. The President will be a strong operational leader with sound fiscal management experience who will continue BID Needham’s culture of quality and patient satisfaction. The President will be a visible and enthusiastic leader within the organization and community and a vital partner in increasing philanthropic support for the Hospital.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Strengthen BID Needham’s platform for continuous improvement in quality, safety, patient experience, and engagement, leveraging technology and innovation to elevate care.
Enhance operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness, driving ongoing improvements in financial performance.
Lead the execution of BID Needham’s 10‑year strategic plan, boldly defining future needs and opportunities to support growth, expansion, and long‑term institutional success.
Prioritize talent recruitment, development, and retention, ensuring BID Needham attracts and sustains exceptional providers and staff. Partner with system leaders to advance clinical integration across the organization.
Collaborate with the Board and senior leadership to strengthen a culture of philanthropy that supports strategic priorities.
Articulate and reinforce the importance of network affiliation across BILH, cultivating relationships with current and prospective partners.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with the senior executive team, system leadership, and medical staff, fostering alignment, engagement, and shared purpose.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, required. Advanced degree in related management disciplines, such as an MBA, MPH or MD desirable.
Prior tenure as President of a community hospital, demonstrating significant executive leadership and strategic accountability within an integrated healthcare system, is strongly preferred.
Track record of exemplary leadership experience resulting in a thorough and broad knowledge of healthcare issues, including value-based care models and health system reimbursement trends.
Experience working in an integrated health system, ideally within a competitive marketplace.
Proficient in exercise of personal influence, building consensus, providing leadership, with ability to navigate a diverse group of stakeholders, build a network of allies, and interface with state and local regulators, earning and maintaining stakeholder trust and respect.
Proven ability to formulate an operational strategy, guide the development of operating plans, and drive performance to achieve or surpass goals. Manage large P&Ls in a complex health care environment with a record of strengthening financial, cost management, and efficiency performance.
Track record of recruiting, developing and retaining an exceptional team of senior leaders and clinicians.
Demonstrated experience of collaborating and working with advisory and fiduciary boards. Successful track record of establishing trust and cultivating relationships with board members and key stakeholders

Pay Range:
$360,400.00 USD - $425,600.00 USDThe pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for additional compensation, which may include performance-based incentive bonuses.
