Your Role

You’ll act as the technical backbone of the sales process working closely with Business Development Managers – helping our partners, system integrators and end clients understand how biometric technology works, aligning their business needs with our solutions capabilities, and ensuring a smooth transition from presales phase to purchase and implementation.

Geographic Scope

·        APAC region

Travel: 40–60% depending on active programs.

As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will be in direct contact with our customers from diverse industries, regions, and cultures. Your role is critical to close the sales process, with trust in the technical capabilities of our solutions being a key pillar of successful sales. You will act as the technical expert during the sales cycle, working closely with our sales and solutions teams to align customer needs with our technology. Your contributions will directly impact our growth and client satisfaction, making you a vital part of the company's success.

📅 Within one month, you will:

  • Get fully on-boarded with our solutions, platforms, and key tools
  • Shadow sales calls and client meetings to understand our approach and customer profiles
  • Start building relationships with internal teams—Sales, Solutions, Engineering and Professional Services
  • Learn our key customer use cases and industry challenges

📅 Within three months, you will:

  • Lead your first product demos and technical presentations with support
  • Contribute to solution designs and technical proposals
  • Collaborate on the completion of RFIs/RFPs
  • Support early-stage Proofs of Concept and pilot projects

📅 Within six months, you will:

  • Own the technical pre-sales process for your assigned opportunities
  • Tailor demos and solutions to complex client requirements
  • Proactively contribute to technical sales strategies and discovery sessions
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to improve our offers

📅 Within one year, you will:

  • Become a trusted advisor to both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Help shape solution directions by identifying market trends and customer needs
  • Drive technical success in key government deals and contribute to company revenue growth

You're a driven technical professional who thrives at the intersection of technology and customer success. With experience in B2B technical sales or solution engineering, you know how to simplify complex systems and present them as real business value. You're proactive, accountable, and collaborative, with a mindset focused on impact.

You enjoy working independently but value teamwork just as much. Whether it's designing a tailored demo, supporting a tender, or contributing to strategy, you bring clarity, curiosity, and commitment.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Technology, Engineering, or Business
  • Experience with biometric technologies is a must
  • Proven B2B experience in pre-sales (partner-driven), technical sales, or solution engineering
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills in English
  • Professional fluency in Malay and/or Chinese languages is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with tenders is highly valued
  • Eagerness to grow into a trusted technical advisor in the biometrics space
  • Comfortable working in hybrid/remote setups
