Your day at NTT DATA

The Presales Consultant for is responsible for providing end-to-end presales support by combining domain knowledge of the manufacturing industry with deep technical expertise in application solutions and network infrastructure. This role ensures that proposed solutions—spanning from IT infrastructure to enterprise applications—meet the specific operational, business, and digital transformation needs of manufacturing clients.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement & Solution Consulting

• Collaborate with Sales team to identify and understand client challenges in the manufacturing sector.

• Conduct discovery sessions to gather business processes, technical requirements, and pain points.

• Act as a trusted advisor to manufacturing clients, offering insights on industry trends, best practices, and technological innovation (e.g., smart factory).

Solution Design & Proposal

• Develop and present tailored solutions, combining application software (e.g., asset management, production monitoring, data analytics) and network solutions (e.g., security, cloud, IoT connectivity).

• Work with technical and product teams to design high-level architectures and validate feasibility.

• Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) aligned with client priorities.

Bid & Proposal Support

• Prepare technical content for proposals, RFPs/RFIs, BoM, and pricing estimates.

• Ensure compliance with both client requirements and internal solution standards.

• Support sales team during technical negotiations and provide documentation as needed.

Internal Collaboration & Enablement

• Work closely with application consultants, infrastructure architects, and delivery teams to ensure knowledge transfer and seamless handover post-sale.

• Provide internal training and feedback on client needs to improve solution readiness.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Experience

• 3–6 years’ experience in presales, technical consulting, or solution architecture for manufacturing clients.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networks, cybersecurity, and manufacturing applications (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, or MES, digital twin, IoT platforms).

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related technical/business fields.
• Preferred: Certifications in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), or application systems.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Fluent in both business context and technical depth related to manufacturing and industrial IT.
• Strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills.
