To support the management and completion of the Division’s Sales through activity such as the identification of market and customer needs, preparing solution and commercial approaches to match the needs of our customers, support the preparation of sales material, demonstrating software and education the sales team to become self-sufficient, and supporting the sales team in the completion of functional tenders.

Requirements
  • To demonstrate and highlight the Divisions solutions and show them in their best light to customers and prospects.
  • Understand the market and our suite of software and identify innovative and commercially viable approaches to match customer need to our solutions.
  • To look for opportunity, identify ways that we can offer solutions to customers using existing or potential solutions.
  • Support sales of existing and innovative solutions to our customer base.
  • Offer management and support of sales activity/personnel as required.
  • To articulate the business benefits to prospects and customers that our solutions offer.
  • Assist in the completion of tender and associated customer proposals to maximize our success.
  • To ensure demonstration environments are up to date and available for demonstration for any relevant sales activity.
  • Support demonstration of the software and showcase joined up user stories.
  • Follow the principals of the Company Sales Excellence for Demonstrators, Writers and Presenters program.
  • Gain the business knowledge and software knowledge to demonstrate across the division’s software relevant to the BlueLight and commercial division.
  • Attending and supporting the Sales Team at demonstration both on-site and virtual and at Conferences.

  • Presentation and sales skills particularly in relation to articulating benefits and engaging audiences.
  • Management skills or personnel and/or delivery activity
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communicator.
  • Microsoft Word & Excel skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and being able to keep calm under pressure.
  • Effective diary management.
  • Ability to be able to prioritise workload and remain organised.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels.

5. Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience and record in a commercial, product or sales role.
  • Experience working in a software and Services based business.
  • Experience working with Transport, BlueLight and/or commercial customers and products.
  • IT and Technical competency skills.
  • Business Intelligence skills.
