Your daily activity revolves around taking care of the precision needs in your area of responsibility. This means communicating with customers, shop managers and CAMs to educate and help find solutions and assisting the Precision Support Specialist II/III with daily responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Perform GreenStar Setups by evaluating equipment for proper setup, calibrations, software, and fluid levels to meet customer expectations upon delivery.
- Perform Basic RTK tower repair.
- Provide technical support in basic precision technologies, digital mapping, and automations in relation to equipment and machinery
- Identify and troubleshoot basic precision technology problems over the phone and in person. Asks questions to clarify a situation.
- Sell and support Precision Service Agreements
- Assist the sales department with customer equipment configuration.
- Complete Precision Farming Packages with customers and communicate with CAMs
- Assist Hutson Agronomist and Data Manager as needed
- Help support and implement clinics and field days for customers and employees
- Proficient in Operations Center and able to train customers and other departments on all aspects of the software.
- Participate in all demos of large ag equipment in your area and the success of demonstration in the field with the customer.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
- Conduct self in the presence of customers and community to present a professional image of Hutson Inc.
- Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
- Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including department meetings and other related efforts.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
- Ensure the company’s reputation and image in the community is consistent with Hutson Inc. core values.
- Associates Degree (in Engineering, Industrial, Technology, Agricultural Sciences, or related degree); or HS Diploma/GED with at least two (2) years of technical experience in the agricultural, construction and/or heavy equipment industry preferred.
- Understanding of basic GIS techniques, basic agricultural equipment (Sprayers, Combines, Applicators, Tractors), fertilizer usage, and pest control.
- Ability to drive and operate large agricultural equipment.
- Communicates ideas clearly and concisely.
- Aids other departments to discuss, troubleshoot, and implement Precision Ag Technology issues and solutions.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Valid DOT Medical Card is required.
