JOB SUMMARY
The Preschool Teacher Aide is responsible for assisting the teacher to accomplish the successful operation of his/her classroom to insure quality early childhood instruction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with the teacher and children to provide excellence in service, instruction and communication
- Adheres to preschool policies and procedures
- Attends all training, staff meetings and other Preschool functions
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be highly motivated
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Good organizational skills
- An understanding of preschool curriculum and childhood development
- Must have a strong desire to work with children
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Preschool experience preferred
- Must have experience working with parents
- Early Childhood degree preferred
- Must have current certificates in CPR, First Aid and AED (with in 60 days of employment)
- Must be fingerprinted and pass CBI and FBI background checks within 60 days of employment.
