What we’re looking for

As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will be at the forefront of a cutting-edge start-up revolutionizing weather-dependent energy trading with our AI-powered weather forecasting platform.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, wants to work with a small team of incredibly smart individuals, and understands the unique challenges and rewards of selling a new, game-changing product at a pre-revenue stage.

In this role, you will bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, showcasing the full potential of our technology to solve real-world challenges. This is a critical position to guide prospective clients from initial engagement to successful adoption, ensuring they receive exceptional support and solutions tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Lead and manage the technical aspects of the sales process, including conducting in-depth product demonstrations, webinars, trial implementations, and proof of concepts (PoCs), to showcase our capabilities and tailor solutions to client needs.

  • Champion our platform’s value proposition to customers unfamiliar with or skeptical of emerging technologies, demonstrating the transformational potential of our solutions in weather-dependent energy trading.

  • Develop a compelling business case for prospective clients, focusing on the unique value our platform delivers for weather-dependent energy trading.

  • Work toward understanding client needs and develop tailored solutions.

  • Develop customer-specific workflows, integrating our platform into their operational processes.

  • Serve as the key technical advisor during sales engagements, answering customer inquiries and providing technical insights.

  • Gather customer feedback and share insights with product and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, influencing the roadmap to ensure customer needs are met—your contributions will directly impact the company’s growth trajectory.

  • Engage in consultative selling practices, moving beyond “price configurator” approaches to position our platform as a category-defining solution.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in geospatial data, weather forecasting, and AI to effectively communicate product differentiators and market trends.

  • Travel within Europe to engage with prospects and clients in person.

Need-to-have

  • A highly technical individual with 5+ years of experience in Pre-sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Enterprise Solutions Specialist, Technical Sales Executive.

  • Experience in at least one of the following domains: AI, machine learning, energy, weather technology, or meteorology.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Consistent and proven record of selling 6-figure annual recurring revenue (ARR) contracts for lesser-known brands, demonstrating your ability to win complex deals for new or under-recognized products.

  • Proven track record of selling and implementing new or under-recognized solutions in challenging or skeptical markets.

  • Passionate about AI, machine learning, and data-heavy platforms, with hands-on experience in these areas.

  • Experienced, and comfortable, working in fast-paced start-ups, especially during pre-revenue or early revenue stages, where adaptability, resourcefulness, and strategic thinking and adaptability to change is essential.

  • Customer-centric mindset with a deep curiosity for understanding challenges and the boldness to influence product roadmaps.

  • Proven track record of collaborating with sales teams to close complex deals and ensure seamless technical integration.

  • Strong communicator capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical audiences.

  • Experienced in managing Proof of Concept (PoC) projects and working closely with customers on technical implementations.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.

  • Solutions-driven, detail-oriented, and focused on customer satisfaction, with a proactive problem-solving attitude.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geospatial Science, Meteorology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Ability to leverage Python to customize product features or help customers validate use cases—giving you direct input into how our platform evolves to meet real-world demands [Bonus].

  • Ability to assist customers in writing and modifying basic Python scripts to effectively test and validate product use cases.
