Your Opportunity: Taylor Visual Impressions is seeking a Prepress Supervisor to work in our Duluth, GA facility. The position is responsible for the overall management, direction, and coordination of the daily production and quality in the Prepress area. This role will manage and oversee the pre-press automation within our PJM Taylor production software to create templates and automation workflows.
Your Responsibilities
- Formulates and recommends prepress policies and programs which guide the department/plant in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation
- Directs and coordinates these activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
- Ability to make critical decisions and setting direction for the next 24 hours
- Ability to be collaborative with your team- accountability
- Conflict management, teambuilding, and moral building
- Identify staffing gaps with contingency plans and cross training matrix
- Driving safety and quality initiatives
- Working with Marketing to achieve new designs / products
Your Shift:
- 1st shift; Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm
You Must Have:
- Associate’s Degree in Management or related field and/or technical expertise of 3-5 years relating to Management or Prepress/Graphics Operations
- Ability to read, interpret, and decipher general written instructions from documents such as work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, operating procedures, or other job specific written documents
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively with fellow employees
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read, utilize, and adjust platemaking equipment by using a ruler or other measuring devices
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
