POSITION SUMMARY

The Contracted Pre-Hospital Liaison Nurse serves as the primary clinical bridge between the hospital's Emergency Department and the prehospital EMS system, including fire agencies, ambulance providers, and the county EMS Agency. This Registered Nurse maintains current Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) certification and provides real-time base hospital contact, field-to-hospital communication, quality review, and education to ensure seamless, evidence-based continuity of care from the field through hospital arrival.

This is a contracted, non-benefited position. Shift assignments, minimum commitments, and duration are governed by the terms of the individual staffing contract or agreement, and shifts are assigned per that contract rather than a fixed FTE schedule.
