The Pre-Funding Quality Control Specialist will analyze mortgage loans for compliance with investor, agency, and regulatory requirements prior to closing of the loan file.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform a pre-funding loan analysis to ensure process conducted in origination meets UHM, Agency, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete the loan audit in a professional manner, using correct grammar and ensuring that wording for all findings are clear and easy to understand.
- Communicates with operation and sales partners concerning findings/resolution of findings.
- Perform special audits in accordance with procedures, when applicable.
- Remain current with regulation changes from government/state agencies, as well as policy changes from Agencies and Investors and company Policies and Procedures (Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA).
- Maintain knowledge of all underwriting guidelines.
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Meet daily file production expectations set for the department.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 2 years minimum mortgage-related quality control or equivalent operations experience
- Must be proficient in appraisal requirements
- Proven Working Knowledge of Mortgage Loan Fraud Detection and Prevention Policies and Procedures
- Ability to manage a pipeline of mortgage loan files
- Demonstrate consistent attention to detail
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word & Excel & other PC applications
- Experience with Encompass is desirable
