What You’ll Do
● Operational management of the sample returns workflow, including staff scheduling, prioritizing workload, quality and compliance oversight and managing needs of a growing lab.
● Assign and prioritize work activities to ensure team and individual goals are met.
● Maintain quality standards in compliance with regulatory and organization policies and procedures. Identify and document occurrences that deviate from defined procedures.
● Hiring, training, annual reviews, recognition, coaching, and corrective action for the accessioning team.
● Audit LIMS reports daily to ensure all samples are processed in an appropriate time frame and with a high degree of accuracy.
● Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
● Analyze processes and continually make improvements to ensure accuracy and
efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree and at least 3-5 years experience working in a clinical field required
● Highly organized and systematic, superb attention to detail and ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
● Demonstrated problem resolution and decision-making skills for operational and technical problems.
● Proven success in a laboratory or corporate supervisory role, working with various levels of manager.
● Proven ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to new processes smoothly.
● Proven ability to communicate well across teams and functions.
Current Shifts: Mon-Fri: 2:30p-11p
*Shifts outside of normal business hours are eligible for a shift differential applied to the base salary listed below.
Note: Candidate will be offered a specific assigned shift. Shift is determined on team and our current needs.
CHI: $55,000-$70,000
The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits depending on the position.
