As the PR Specialist, you will play a key role in elevating our brand's visibility by focusing on mainstream media across the region. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with key media outlets, driving coverage in lifestyle, business, and general interest media. Additionally, you will provide support to local PR specialists in the markets, offering guidance and expertise to ensure consistency and impact in their regional efforts. While cycling-specific (endemic) media will be handled locally with support from the regional Category Marketing Leads, you will collaborate closely with these teams to ensure overall alignment in messaging and strategy.

This role is ideal for a media-savvy professional with a passion for PR, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage cross-regional communications. You will work closely with the rest of the EMEA marketing team, the Global PR team and local market PR specialists to drive awareness and enhance the brand's reputation in mainstream media spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Mainstream Media Relations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with mainstream media outlets across the region, securing coverage in lifestyle, business, and general interest media.
• Develop, pitch, and land compelling stories that resonate with mainstream media and reflect the brand’s values and vision.

Support for Local PR Specialists

• Act as the central point of contact for local market PR specialists, providing guidance and expertise on media relations and PR strategies.
• Offer solutions to specific questions and challenges faced by local PR teams, ensuring consistency in brand and product messaging across the region.

Collaboration with Regional Teams

• Work closely with regional Category Marketing Leads to ensure alignment between PR efforts and broader marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate on messaging and strategy to ensure a unified approach across both mainstream and industry media.

PR Strategy Development

• Develop and implement regional PR strategies that drive brand awareness and media coverage in mainstream spaces.
• Monitor and report on PR performance, analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns and making recommendations for improvement.

Media Support & Events

• Support the planning and execution of media events, press conferences, and product launches, ensuring strong media presence and coverage.
• Actively manage media inquiries and maintain relationships with key mainstream journalists and editors.

What You’ll Need to Win:

• 3+ years of experience in public relations, with a focus on mainstream lifestyle media.
• Strong understanding of media relations and experience building and executing successful PR campaigns.
• Excellent communication, writing, and storytelling skills.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple regional projects simultaneously.
• Fluency in English; additional European language(s) is a plus.
• Passion for the outdoor lifestyle, particularly cycling, is an advantage.
• Established media connections in the mainstream space is a plus
