About the role
We’re looking for a PR Senior Account Manager to join our award winning Bristol team! As either a current Senior Account Manager or an Account Manager ready to take that next step, you’ll be responsible for managing the delivery of effective and creative PR solutions which surprise and delight our clients.
You’ll be fully adept at building strong relationships with the media along with being a skilled people manager. You’ll also be exposed to working on pitches and developing new business opportunities with Grayling teams across the UK, specifically our Southern teams. You’ll be working across a portfolio of clients, predominantly within the corporate comms space, including professional and financial services, education, travel, and energy.
The day to day
- Utilise knowledge of traditional and digital media to maximise PR opportunities, promoting the range of PR services available to clients
- Managing and supporting the Senior Account Executive in the delivery of their role. Using appropriate people management techniques, resolving or escalating issues promptly and fairly, and championing achievements
- Interpret and respond to client briefs and develop effective communication strategies using media expertise, creativity tools and data driven insights, resulting in creative solutions for our clients
- Contribute to crisis management plans and provide support to senior consultants
- Create news stories and build media relationships that will deliver coverage
- Contribute to new business solutions, leveraging previous relevant experience, specialist skills and knowledge while selling Grayling’s full offer effectively
- Assist the senior management team in developing long-term client satisfaction
- Monitor the media landscape for new opportunities to sell in additional Grayling products and services to clients to enhance revenue and profitability
- Connect with colleagues from across the global Grayling network, leveraging opportunities to work together to enhance professional development and learning
- Manage personal and team time meticulously, identifying and resolving time-based issues effectively as well as assisting junior staff in managing their workloads
- Seek out training initiatives and learning opportunities to enhance personal and team development
- Support the senior team with meticulous management and delivery of all reporting and administration using the appropriate business processes
- Develop a personal network of internal and external industry contacts, identifying new business opportunities
