We are seeking an experienced and passionate Local PR Manager to join our dynamic marketing team at vivo. In this pivotal role, you will shape the brand’s voice, drive local communications strategy, and uphold our corporate image through impactful PR campaigns, media outreach, and influencer engagement. The ideal candidate will excel in building relationships with key media professionals, identifying press opportunities, and amplifying our brand story across digital and traditional channels. You’ll collaborate closely with regional and local teams to enhance brand awareness while leveraging strong communication skills, storytelling expertise, and a strategic understanding of social media.
Your Challenge:
- Develop and execute strategic PR campaigns to elevate the brand and drive awareness of vivo’s smartphone products in the local market.
- Act as the primary local spokesperson, managing media inquiries, press briefings, and public appearances.
- Build and nurture relationships with key media, tech journalists, influencers, and industry analysts to secure high-impact coverage.
- Lead planning and execution of local media events, product launches, and press conferences.
- Collaborate with global/regional PR teams to adapt messaging for the local market while maintaining brand consistency.
- Develop compelling PR materials, including press releases, Q&As, speeches, and talking points in English and Italian.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing insights to measure PR effectiveness and inform future strategies.
- Adapt global PR campaigns to resonate with Italian consumers and media preferences.
- Operate and maintain local owned social media account, ensure the contents align with the brand tonality.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product and Marketing teams to align PR strategies with product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and local market shifts to identify PR opportunities.
Your profile includes:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field, with preference for cross-cultural communication expertise.
- 5+ years of PR/communications experience, preferably in the tech, mobile, or consumer electronics industry.
- Native or bilingual proficiency in Italian, with full professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Deep understanding of the Italian media landscape, including key tech outlets, journalists, and cultural nuances.
- Proven track record in strategic PR, including media relations, crisis communications, and influencer engagement.
- Exceptional storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling press materials (press releases, speeches, pitches) for local audiences.
- Hands-on experience organizing high-impact events, such as product launches, press conferences, and media briefings.
- Existing network with Italian tech/consumer media is a strong advantage.
- Tech-savvy mindset and passion for mobile innovation, with the ability to translate technical features into consumer-friendly narratives.
