We are seeking a rising star in public relations to join the Corporate Marketing Team. As the Public Relations Manager, you are responsible for developing and executing PR strategies that align to business goals, boosting brand awareness and market differentiation. 

You will manage the media relations program, build and maintain relationships with key reporters in our targeted publications, and manage the day-to-day work of our agency partners. This role will work with our PR agency to showcase our AI innovations, increase the quantity and quality of coverage in the media, and spearhead thought leadership media programs. 

The ideal candidate has exceptional writing skills and strong judgment, with agency management experience and proven results. A deep understanding of AI topics and trends, an eagerness to cultivate fresh story ideas, and an adept ability to translate complex technology concepts into broadly digestible stories are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling stories that resonate with stakeholders, ensuring external messaging is clear and impactful.

  • Proactively develop and implement PR campaigns that align with the larger marketing narratives and help drive brand awareness.

  • Strengthen media relations through proactive outreach, key media relationships, and the ability to execute and secure coverage and touchpoints with the press consistently. 

  • Manage announcements and related content (i.e., press releases and media kits).

  • Build a strategic and differentiated speaking program, as well as manage event logistics and media outreach related to speaking events.

  • Identify and prioritize the right corporate, product, and culture award opportunities and manage submission processes.

  • Monitor and analyze the media and industry landscape to keep DataRobot included in relevant and vital conversations.

  • Track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of communications efforts to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in public relations or communications, preferably in the AI industry or B2B high-tech

  • Experience and proven track record managing PR programs and agency teams regionally and globally.

  • Drive to outpace industry and competitor benchmarks in media.

  • Passion and enthusiasm that inspire fresh ideas and motivate action.

  • Exceptionally strong writing skills.

  • Proven track record of crafting strong and differentiated storylines and positioning.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.

  • Ability to exercise high judgment in narrow timeframes.

Location

  • This role is based in Boston, MA, with the flexibility to work remotely.

Compensation Statement

The U.S. annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for this full-time position is between $110,000 and $150,000 USD/year. Actual offers may be higher or lower than this range based on various factors, including (but not limited to) the candidate’s work location, job-related skills, experience, and education.
