PR ASSISTANT

Location: Panamá, Panamá City

Reports to: Fashion, Watches & FJ, & Celebrities Press Manager

Contract: Full-time and permanent position

YOUR ROLE @CHANEL

Support Communication of CHANEL’s Fashion, Watches & FJ, Celebrities & Corporate novelties to the Latin American press and create desire for our products.

WHAT IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL

  • Support the organization and logistics for Press and Fashion Boutique Events under supervision of the Fashion PR Manager
  • Keep the inventory, organization, and loans of the Panama Press Rack.
  • Main contact for the Fashion and Watches & FJ shopping requests and responsible for the follow up with the stylists and the team from the international press showrooms in New York and Paris.
  • Upload Fashion, Watches & FJ, Corporate and VIP clippings in the platform and work on Fashion reports for Paris twice a month.
  • Send press releases and press material to regional press on a daily and weekly basis, as needed.
  • Create and supervise social media campaigns on Lefty
  • Collect, format & save clippings from Local Agencies and Edit Link
  • Keep track of monthly payments on Basware and revise budget monthly with PR Manager & Finance Dept.
  • Handle daily communication with journalists and influencers from 17 countries
  • Organize the logistics and accreditation for Fashion shows in Paris and travelling collections with the Fashion PR manager.
  • Keep an eye out for new talents (celebrities, press, influencers)
  • Support organization of all local events.
  • Support Communications VP with Administrative duties (travel itineraries, meetings, etc.) Coordinate Press Rack logistics
  • Collect Clippings & Report Visibility to Paris Monthly
  • Strong support to the PR manager

    YOU ARE ENERGIZED BY

    • Developing and nurturing relationships with clients, media contacts, influencers, and other stakeholders.
    • Coming up with innovative PR strategies, campaigns, and messaging that capture attention and resonate with target audiences.
    • Crafting compelling narratives and storytelling that effectively communicates a brand's message, values, and unique selling propositions.
    • Engaging with journalists, bloggers, and media outlets to pitch stories, secure media coverage, and build positive relationships.
    • Organizing and executing events, such as press conferences, product launches, or promotional events.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

    • You must be fluent both in English and Spanish (French a plus).
    • 2+ years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the luxury business.
    • Bachelor’s degree of science in Business Administration, PR, Marketing or related.
    • Be able to work with deadlines, strong sense of detail, creative and innovative thinker, excellent communications skills, and strong decision-making skills.
    • Understanding of PR and marketing concepts and practices.
    • Computer savvy: working knowledge of databases, excel and design software (e.g., Photoshop) is a plus.
    • An established press network in the region is a plus.
