About the location:

The 123-room Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is the company’s second destination in Japan, in the city’s historic Higashiyama-ku district, close to the Kyoto National Museum and myriad heritage sites such as the Toyokuni Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple. Local artists are featured throughout the traditionally-inspired modern décor characterised by an understated Japanese aesthetic. The Hotel has a spa and fitness centre with a pool, and four food and beverage concepts. There are also be 57 Four Seasons Private Residences.

The Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is looking for a PR and Communication Manager. Candidates with passion for excellence, expertise in hospitality operations and proven leadership experience are invited to apply for a career with Four Seasons. As a member of the Sales & Marketing Division, the PR and Communication Manager works across disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities

Digital Communications

• Develop, implement and maintain digital marketing campaign calendar on a rolling 12-month basis

• Maintain and update Hotel website for optimum performance, search engine relevance, engagement, and traffic

• Create new and relevant content on fourseasons.com and OTA websites as appropriate in-line with PR annual plan and Hotel need

• Capture on-brand digital content (videos and photos) based on a storytelling way to support digital communications and social media objectives

• Rally hotel employees to support with digital assets

• Create and implement targeted marketing tools for Hotel websites, such as e-newsletters and landing pages to support marketing and brand communications initiatives for local and international clients

•Create and share digital media content including E-DMs that aligns the Hotel’s content strategy and manage the guests' data base

•SEO, digital marketing, PPC, and e-commerce (as needed) to ensure messaging and creative is aligned across all activities

•Utilize all available electronic marketing tools to increase exposure to all available outlets, oversight of E-Mail broadcasts and all related electronic opportunities. 

•"On-property digital touchpoint management: Creating and updating the seasonal promotion movie for digital monitors in lobby, elevators and guest rooms.

•Managing IPTV systems in all guest rooms and FS Apps.

• Helping the hotel SPA and R&B effort to collect client’s data GDPR compliant through the LMLM by Four Seasons

• Create innovative digital publicity campaigns that increase awareness and positive perception of the Hotel, spa, restaurants, catering and weddings and are aligned with the hotel and communications objectives

• Following monthly reports on all paid campaigns; analyze and communicate monthly statistics on all digital assets, including social media and landing pages

• Maintain Hotel’s assets of photograph and video, uploading new content as needed and removing outdated content from the Image Library and Press Room when needed

• Keep up-to-date with digital trends and developments

•Manage the Hotel’s online reputation by monitoring all online reviews through the appointed tool of Revinate including Trip Advisor, Google, Booking.com, Expedia, Ctrip and TripAdvisor Ikyu, Open Table and responding to reviews on behalf of the Hotel within the input of the GM

Social Media

• Maximize opportunities for publicity in all forms of social media, including independently monitoring Social Media channels where our business may have a presence and respond/interact accordingly; full autonomy to monitor primary channels which include but are not limited to: Twitter/Facebook/Instagram, LINE through the appointed tool of Sprout Social and act like a community Manager

• Create and implement monthly content calendar one month in advance of deployment featuring Hotel, SPA, F&B, unique local offers and destinations in alignment with Four Seasons Brand DNA

• Work closely with each department at the Hotel to help provide clear social direction, ensuring all conceptual and creative ideas meet objectives, key brand strategies and timelines.

• Prepare social media statistics for use in overall monthly, quarterly and yearly Public Relations report (Marketing Month End Scorecard)

• Work with hotel partners to keep up with social media trends

•Actively pitch influencers for media visits, coverage and build UGC

General

• Assist PRD to execute innovative PR and publicity programs that will increase awareness and positive perception of the Hotel, services and personnel

•Manage and develop strong relationships with key social media influencers; Entertaining local and overseas bloggers/influencers in English and Japanese as required for promoting the Hotel, F&B and Spa, catering offerings

• Draft copy and content for property-specific digital marketing materials including ads and e-brochures, occasionally creating pieces on-site using Adobe Photoshop and In-Design

• Attend all meetings (internal and external) as needed, including a mandatory Public Relations meeting with the DOM and GM. 

• Acts as the main point of contact with Web Team for updating content on FS.com – across all languages

• Comply with Four Seasons standards for sales and marketing while working harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and planning committee

• Speak and write knowledgeably on the Hotel. Be a brand ambassador to Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto at all times, both in and out of the Hotel and on personal social media accounts

• Ensure that all hotel promotions are in keeping with hotel s’ image and reflect the highest level of professionalism in content and presentation
