IMAGINE THE FUTURE WITH ENVALIOR

The PQC Manager spearheads the Process, Quality Control department for the 3 Envalior China sites. The role is critical for ensuring our manufacturing processes are safe, compliant, and optimized for maximum yield, while leading the physical evolution of our site through strategic infrastructure investments.

You will make key contributions to Envalior:

Structured improvement of OEE and AU/OPN​

• Eliminate Technology Losses​
• Establish models for “Defined Condition Variations”​
• Support operations in setting up and operating PEM (Process Efficiency Management): selection of drivers; measuring systems; calculation models for connecting secondary and primary drivers​
• Process Safety: Integrate HAZOP and LOPA studies into all new capital projects to ensure inherent safety in design.
• Support operations on reliability management: analysis of loss data; benchmarking; elimination of other loss categories​.
• Process Optimization: Lead the technical team in monitoring process capabilities (Cp and Cpk) to reduce variability and eliminate waste.
• Support operations with deep process know-how: training, establishing optimized operating windows, problem solving
• Improvement of asset capabilities beyond MPC by means of process technology measures. Includes capacity and consumption as well as ability to use lower cost materials.​
• Improvement of asset capabilities in terms of quality beyond present standards by means of process technology.​
• New products: aligning product and process design to achieve required specifications at minimum overall cost (CapEx/OpEx).​
• Standardization: Establish and maintain rigorous QC protocols for raw materials, intermediates, and finished chemical products.
• Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into non-conformances and customer complaints using Six Sigma, 8D, or Fishbone methodologies.
• PQC shares responsibility for VMC productivity with production.

Capex portfolio management & Engineering

• Strategic Planning: Develop the annual and multi-year capital investment roadmap aligned with business growth and sustainability goals
• Budgetary Oversight: Manage the total CAPEX budget, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
• Justification: Prepare detailed Return on Investment (ROI) and Net Present Value (NPV) calculations for proposed equipment upgrades or facility expansions.
• Ensures adequate process design (+ FLD’s) input for the different FEL phases in accordance with the agreed scope of capital investment projects and oversees projects from conceptual design (FEL 1/2/3) through to commissioning and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ)
• Vendor Management: Negotiates with external engineering firms, equipment vendors, and contractors

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field Justification
• Experience: 10+ years in the chemical or engineering materials industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management. Proven track record of managing larger capital investment projects
• Technical skills: Knowledge of polymer manufacturing, extrusion and solid material handling is considered a pré
• Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt and/or PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred
• Soft skills: Strong negotiation skills, decisive leadership, and the ability to communicate complex data to executive stakeholders
