At Alcoa, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking an experienced Powerhouse Manager to lead safe, reliable and efficient powerhouse operations at our Pinjarra Refinery.

This senior leadership role will oversee multidisciplinary operations and maintenance teams while driving performance, asset reliability and continuous improvement across WA Powerhouse operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager, the Powerhouse Manager is accountable for achieving production, safety, environmental, reliability and cost objectives while ensuring operational excellence across the powerhouse. You will play a key role in supporting long-term strategic outcomes and improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership to Operations, Mechanical Maintenance and Electrical Maintenance teams.

  • Delivering safe, efficient and reliable powerhouse operations.

  • Establishing and achieving production, safety, environmental, efficiency and cost targets.

  • Managing operational and capital budgets while identifying productivity and cost improvement opportunities.

  • Driving strategic planning, asset management and best-practice processes across WA Powerhouse operations.

  • Leading workforce capability, succession planning, performance development and organisational effectiveness.

  • Ensuring strong governance, regulatory compliance and a proactive safety culture

What you can bring to the role

  • Degree qualified in Engineering (or equivalent) with significant leadership experience in power generation, mining, minerals processing, manufacturing or other large-scale industrial operations.

  • Experience in power generation and/or alumina refining environments will be highly regarded (Boiler/Steam and Gas Turbines)

  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams, develop people and deliver results through others.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience leading change in complex operating environments.

Skills Required

  • Degree qualified in Engineering (or equivalent)
